The Inn at Stonecliffe is a treasure in the woods! We prefer to be away from the crowded streets downtown, so the property’s location up the hill was perfect for us. There were many roads, gravel paths and single-track trails right outside the hotel that we could ride our bikes and run on for a tranquil taste of northern Michigan. Not A Fan. We have stayed on the island a few times and decided to stay at the Inn at Stonecliffe based on the recommendation of a close friend who stays there often. While we will stay on the island again, we will not go back to Stonecliffe. The breakfast buffet offered a nice selection and the attendants in the dining room were delightful! The grounds at Stonecliffe were lovely and very welcoming with all the lilacs blooming.
